Since this is unequivocally the most important thing to happen in DC since the Pope’s visit it only makes sense that this post should follow right on the heels of that one. Marlon and I had ample time to run some errands this weekend (which is not always the case), and during a TJ Maxx stop today we decided the real travesty would be to not get the dog sweater in a fox pattern that they had on offer for just $13. Though everyone knows only weirdos make their dogs wear clothes, and only the weirdest weirdos actually buy clothes for their dogs from a store, it was really just too perfect to pass up.
Or… actually, now that I think about it…
Oh no, actually it’s just a good idea to have a little something extra to keep your dog warm when the weather starts getting cooler! That fur only goes so far. (But also I bought it mostly because it had foxes on it.)
Anyway, after fox-resemblance, MenswearDog-resemblance probably comes next for Ollie, especially when donned in some form of menswear. And Marlon suggested a photoshoot (and kindly held the ‘curtain’ during its progress), and of course I bit, so here. Eat your heart out, MenswearDog.
Also remember how I used to blog about ‘recipes’ and stuff all the time and haven’t done it in years (to the dismay of no one, I’m sure)? Well now seems like no time to revert to bad habits, but I’ll at least mention that tonight Marlon and I put our heads together to ‘invent’ an ‘enchilada pizza’ or ‘chalupa pizza’ (or ‘chalupizza’ or ‘pizzalupa’– we’re working on a name to trademark) made from a crust of this copycat Taco Bell chalupa dough (fried first, chalupa style, of course) and a base of Emeril Lagasse’s easy enchilada sauce, topped with beans and cheese and a variety of veggies and it was delicious.
